Going out to enjoy the moon, burning the flames, igniting riddles, eating Yuanxiao, family reunion, and celebrating the festive season. The custom of the 15th Lantern Festival has been preserved so far, so how did it originate? What changes have been made in the content and form? The legend of the Lantern Festival is numerous and far away. The roughly as follows:

First, the legend originated from the people to drive away the pests, that is, originated from the "Torch Festival.

In order to obtain a good harvest, the Han people in the country used firearms to drive away insects and reduce pests. Since the Tang, Tang and Song dynasties, it has been extremely popular. To this day, people in some parts of southwestern China are still making torches with lumber or branches in the first month of the 15th, and squadrons are dancing in the fields of Tiantou or Sun Valley. Participating in song and dance tens of thousands of people, from fainting to stunned. This custom has been preserved in the Han area in the form of a Lantern Festival.

This kind of legend tells us the relationship between the lamp and the fire, that is, the lighting tool originated from the use of fire. The primary function of fire is to satisfy people''s survival and physiological needs, and it enhances the ability of people to survive in the natural environment. The use of fire is a sign that people are separated from animals. When the light is applied to the lighting to become a light, its basic function is lighting. However, in actual use, lights and lights are often given richer cultural connotations and additional functions. Among them, the most important thing is to use light to express people''s emotions. The following legend about the origin of the lanterns further illustrates this.

Second, originated from myths and specific historical events.

Legend has it that a long time ago, there were many fierce birds and beasts, and people and animals were injured everywhere. People organized them to fight them. One of the gods landed on the world because they lost their way, but they were accidentally shot dead by unsuspecting hunters.

After knowing that the Emperor of Heaven was very angry, he immediately passed the order and ordered the Tianbing to set fire to the world on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, and burned the human and animal property on earth. The daughter of the Emperor of Heaven was kind and could not bear to see the innocent people suffering. He risked his life and secretly took Xiangyun to the world and told the news to people. Everyone heard about this news and was scared not to know how to be good.

After a long time, an old man came up with a method. He said: "On the four days of the 14th, 15th and 16th day of the first month, every household has a lantern at home, a firecracker, and a fireworks. Once, the Emperor will think that people have been burned to death."

Everyone listened and nodded and said yes, they were ready to go. On the evening of the 15th day of the first lunar month, the Emperor looked down and found that there was a red light in the world, and the sound was loud, and it was the same for three consecutive nights. It was thought to be the flame of the fire, and the heart was fast. People have saved their lives and property. In order to commemorate this success, every time from the 15th of the first month, every household hangs lanterns and puts fireworks to commemorate this day.
